On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Courtney S. Martin 39, of Branch St., Martinsville transition from this earthly life at SOVAH Health-Martinsville. He was born in Martinsville, VA to Larry D. Hairston and Una S. Martin.
Courtney attended Abundant Life Ministries and Renewed Faith Ministries.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Larry D. Hairston and Una S. Martin of Martinsville, VA; three sons, Taiwan Martin of Atlanta, GA, Temauri Martin and Tayion Martin both of Martinsville, VA; three daughters, Tayana Niblett, Jazai Moore and Tay'oni Martin all of Martinsville, VA; one sister, Larissa Rash of Ridgeway, VA; four brothers, Rodriguez Martin and Marcus Martin both of Martinsville, VA, Andre Hodge of Bassett, VA, and Telvin Draper of Collinsville, VA; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. with the funeral service at 1 p.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home with Reverend Rufus Millner, Eulogist. Interment will follow at the Carter Family Cemetery, 157 Martin Dr., Axton, VA.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville, VA between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 611 Branch St., Martinsville, VA. Live streaming of the funeral service will be available at Hairston Funeral Home live via Facebook.
