Elbert H. Robinson, 88, of 3270 Preston Road, Martinsville, VA, departed this life Tuesday July 28, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Robinson was born in Elk Creek, Virginia on June 28, 1932, he was the son of the late Lawrence Robinson and late Helen Johnson Robinson. He attended Wytheville Training School, he was also a United States Army Veteran, a member of the True Gospel Holiness Church, and a member of the American Legion of Homer Dillard Post. He retired from Tultex after 45 years as well as retiring from Memorial Hospital of Martinsville/ Henry County after 30 years.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife Frances H. Robinson, his son Jason k. Robinson, five brothers, and five sisters.
He is survived by his three daughters, Vivian R. Johnson, Cynthia M. Gargano and Pammie Kyle all of which reside in Virginia, two sons, Gerald L. Robinson of Charlottesville, VA and E. K. Robinson of San Antonio, Texas, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, and one brother, Walter Robinson of Washington, D.C.
Graveside service will be conducted Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 2pm. At Carver Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1pm to 5pm Saturday, August 1, 2020 at C.R.V. Hairston Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home, and other times at the home of his daughter, Vivian Johnson at 3300 Preston Road, Martinsville VA.
Arrangements are entrusted to Hairston Funeral Home.
