Obituary For Fletcher Smith Adams, Jr.
On Saturday, December 9, 2023, Fletcher Adams, Jr., 65, of E. Church St., Martinsville transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life at his residence. He was born in Chester, PA on October 25, 1958, the son of Fletcher Smith Adams, Sr. and Annie Mae Martin Adams who preceded him in death.
In addition to his parents, Fletcher was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Adams, and a niece, Mitia Adams.
Fletcher became a member of Only Way Church of Christ, Eden, NC at an early age. He retired from Southern Finishing after many years of service. He also attended Laurel Park High School. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, he loved being around people.
Fletcher leaves to cherish his memory his wife; two sons, Brandon Adams of Martinsville, VA, and Cameron Adams of Roanoke, VA; four sisters, Shelia Graves (Ray) of Eden, NC, Sandra Hylton (Leon) of Axton, VA, Carolyn Hairston (Ricky) of Greensboro, NC, and Faye Hughes (Bernard) of Martinsville, VA; one grandson, Kentrell Adams of Martinsville, VA; he was loved by his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunt's, uncles, cousins, and friends; and a dear and close friend Anita Williamson of Martinsville, VA.
The family will receive friends at Hairston Funeral Home on Thursday, December 14, 2023, between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. All other services are private.
