Gloria Jean Fuller-Powers, 53, of Winston Salem, N.C.; departed this life on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born May 4, 1966 in Martinsville, VA to the late Betty Jean Hairston Scott and John Henry Fuller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Willie Mae Hairston and her stepfather, Harry Scott.
Gloria leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Whitnei Fuller-Davies (Adam); her two sons, Jy-Rian Fuller (Dana) and Elijah Barry (Genisis Beltran) all of Winston Salem, N.C.; grandson, Hunter Fuller of Winston Salem, N.C.; sister, Wanda Wade-Dodson (Earl) of Martinsville, VA; brother, Christopher Scott of Atlanta, GA; a half-sister, Trina Dallas of Martinsville, VA; and two nephews, Sean and Justin Wade both of Atlanta, GA.
She was a member of Shiloh Apostolic Temple Church, Ridgeway, VA. and a former member of Christ Rescue Temple, Winston Salem, N.C. Gloria was a graduate of Laurel Park High School, Class of 1984. She studied at Superior School of Real Estate and was a Licensed Real Estate Broker/ Agent and in Property Management.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Shiloh Apostolic Temple Church at 2:30 p.m. with Bishop Jamie Millner, eulogist. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service at the church and all other times at the home of her sister, Wanda Wade-Dodson, 716 Beechnut Lane, Martinsville, VA. Burial will be held in Carver Memorial Gardens, Martinsville, VA.
