Gregory Nathaniel Gravely, 60, of Tahoe Drive, Bassett, VA departed this life Monday, December 28, 2020 at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA. He was born April 2, 1960 to the late Robert Gravely and Doris Millner Gravely in Martinsville, VA.
In addition to his father, he was proceeded in death by two brothers, Hosea Gravely and Allen Gravely.
Mr. Gravely was a United States Army veteran. He was also a faithful member of the Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Martinsville, VA, where he attended Sunday School and was a part of the Men’s Ministry. He enjoyed gardening and photography in his spare time. Greg was a 1978 graduate of Martinsville High School.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Angela Hammock Gravely of the home, his mother Doris Millner Gravely, three daughters, Ursula Farris, Ebony Gravely both of Norfolk, VA, and Chazmine Gravely of Bassett, VA, three sons, James Farris, Devin Gravely both of Martinsville, VA, and Aaron Gravely of Bassett, VA, one sister, Dorthy Reese of New Jersey, four brothers, Marvin “Tip” Gravely (Janice), Ronnie Gravely, Anthony Gravely all of Martinsville, VA, and Robert M. Gravely Jr. of Atlanta, GA, several grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Gravely will be held Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 1 P.M. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home. A public viewing will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. at Hairston Funeral Home. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering and social distancing will be required. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens in Martinsville, VA.
