Herb, Danny and Marion were some of the first people my sisters and I knew in life. Old Perry came along later. When Bro Jim put that basketball goal up in front of the house kids from all over came to play and I guess Herb had more drive and love for the game than most. He was always glad to see you. I will miss him and I pray for peace for his family, especially his mother.
Sending prayers and love to the family during this difficult time.
I've worked with Herd for the past few years and gotten to know him well. I will miss our mornings talking about the night before sports. I pray for his loved ones during this trying time. May the Lord lead, guide and direct.
Sorry to hear about the lost of someone that I had known for a long time. My brother and I would play basketball at his Mothers house quite often many years ago. Having said that I want to offer condolences to all of his surviving family members. My sympathies are with you all during this unfortunate time.
