Obituary For Herman Louis Jones, Jr.
Herman Jones, 28, of S. Barton St., Martinsville, VA, departed this life on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at his residence. Born in Martinsville, VA on December 26, 1993, the son of Herman L. Jones, Sr. and Leatrice Jones. Herman is preceded death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Williams Jones.
Herman was a 2012 graduate of Martinsville High School. He loved music, Wrestling, Basketball, and the Baltimore Ravens Football team.
Those left to cherish his memory include: his mother, Leatrice Jones of Martinsville, VA; father, Herman L. (Diane) Jones, Sr. of Caswell County, NC; stepfather, Paul Plummer, Sr. of Danville, VA; three sisters, Danielle Jones of Winston Salem, NC, and Daja Jones of Martinsville, VA; and Ashley Jones of Fairfax, VA; six stepbrothers, Jason Nobel of Rockingham, NC, Donnie Novel of Rockingham County, NC, Paul Plummer, Jr., Andrew Plummer, Quinten Reid and Marcus Plummer all of Danville, VA; maternal grandmother, Ella Mae Jones of Martinsville, VA; two nephews, DaVonte Dillard of California, and Elijah Lewis of Fairfax, VA; three nieces, Danasia Dillard of Winston Salem, NC, Amber Lewis, and Annette Jones both of Fairfax, VA; a special aunt and uncle, Donnell and Joyce Meadows of Caswell County; and a host other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Refuge Temple Ministries with Elder Alan Preston, Eulogist. Burial will be private.
