Obituary For Jackie Moten Luckado

Jackie Moten Luckado, 67, of Martinsville, VA, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Monday, May 9, 2022, at SOVAH Health-Martinsville. Born April 15, 1955, in Patrick Co., VA, the son of Lee Moten Luckado and Elizabeth Lovern Luckado, who preceded him in death.

In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Ann Holt, Pat Luckado, and Bonnie Williams, and two brothers, Roger Luckado and Johnny Luckado.

Jackie was employed part time at the Martinsville YMCA. Jackie was previously a member of Branches of Hope day support services. He was an outgoing person who never met a stranger. He was an avid photographer. And he was always willing to lend a helping hand if needed.

Those left to cherish his memory includes: two sisters, Christine L. (Bernard) Yaba of Virginia Beach, VA, and Iva Pack of Hampton, VA; nieces, nephews, Starling View Manor family, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home with Elder Herman Woody, Eulogist. Burial will be private. Viewing will be held on, Monday, May 16, 2022, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing is required.
