Obituary For James H. Hilton

James H. Hilton, 89 of Willow Ct, Martinsville, VA, departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Martinsville Health and Rehab. He was born November 17, 1930 in Henry County, VA to the late Herbert Hilton and the late Edna Morris Hilton Hairston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Toni Hilton.

James retired from Yellow Cab Co. after many years of service. He was a faithful member of Mt. Sinai Apostle Church where he served as a Deacon. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

James leaves to cherish his memory; four sons, Donatus Hilton of Independence, VA, Eric (Ruchelle) Hilton of Bowie MD, Tyrone (Regina) Hilton of Ashland, VA and James Dunford of Martinsville, VA; two daughters; Sylvia Millner and Shanta Watkins both of Martinsville, VA; one brother; Warren (Evelyn) Hilton of Philadelphia, PA; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Apostle Church with Rev. Tyrone Hilton, Eulogist. The family will receive friends at the church thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Morris Family Cemetery, Chestnut Knob Rd., Ridgeway, VA.
