James Hairston 75, of W. Fayette St., Martinsville, VA entered peaceful rest Monday, August 15, 2022, at his residence. Born October 14, 1946, in Virginia, he was the son of John H. Hairston, Sr., and Elizabeth Flood Hairston who preceded him in death.
James was a graduate of Albert Harris High School class of 1966. He was a United States Army Veteran, and he retired from American Furniture Co. after many years of service.
Those left to cherish his memory include: three brothers, John Hairston, Jr. of Roanoke, VA, Clinton (Deidre) Hairston of Martinsville, VA; and Kennon W. Hairston (Carolyn) of Round Lake, IL; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022, at 12 p.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 5975 Dyer Store Rd., Martinsville, VA. Viewing will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing is required.
