Obituary For Joseph Malik Morehead
Joseph Malik Morehead, 26, of Clift St., Martinsville, VA, departed this life on Friday, January 21, 2022, at SOVAH Health-Martinsville. He was born in Martinsville, VA on September 27, 1995, the son of Joseph Turner and Kathy Cabiness.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Margie Scales and his paternal grandmother, Shirley Turner.
He was a member of Shiloh Way of the Cross Church. He was a 2014 graduate of Martinsville School and was employed at Hanes Brand.
Those left to cherish his memory, his mother Kathy Cabiness of Martinsville, VA; his father, Joseph Turner of Martinsville, VA; one son, Caden Morehead of Martinsville, VA; one daughter, Kylie Keel of Martinsville, VA; two sister, Jasmine Turner of Rocky Mount, VA and Alexandier Nowlin of Stuart, VA; two brothers, Akeem Morehead of Martinsville, VA, and Christopher Morehead of Eden, NC; maternal grandfather, Billy Morehead of Greensboro, NC; paternal grandfather James Turner of Martinsville, VA and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 11:00 am at the CRV Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home with presiding Bishop Earley Dillard, Eulogist. Burial will follow. Viewing will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing is required. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home at 612 Clift Street, Martinsville, VA.
In the event of inclement weather, services may be postponed until Monday, January 31,2022 at 11:00 a.m.
