Obituary For Joyce Ann Jones

Joyce Ann Jones, 71, of Clearview Drive, Martinsville, VA, departed this life on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at SOVAH Health-Martinsville. She was born in Virginia on April 26, 1950, the daughter of the late Clarence Walton, and the late Virgie Mae Garrett Walton.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by one son, Solomon Kerry Jones; and two brothers, Harry and Larry Truelove, and Terrance Walton.

Joyce was employed as a Special Education Instructor for the Martinsville City and the Henry County Public School Systems. She attended the Salvation Army Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed helping others.

Joyce leaves to cherish her memory, one daughters, Kimberly Jones of Martinsville, VA; one son, Kedrick Jones of Bristol, VA; granddaughter, Keedra Jones of Martinsville, VA; Grandson, Kavion Jones of Johnson City, TN; two great-grandson's, Kaeleb Jones Walton, and Khenton Jones Walton both of Martinsville, VA; four sisters, Elnora Isaac of Columbus, SC, Sandra J. Tolliver of Martinsville, VA, Ruby Foster Walton of Anchorage, AK, and Stephanie Crawford of Alex, VA; four brothers, Keith Walton of Ridgeway, VA, Reverend Wayne Walton of Memphis, TN, Reverend Lewis Walton of Rocky Mount, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

All services will be private.
