Karen Y. Stockton, 64, of 220 Cordover Dr, Martinsville, Virginia, departed this life on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Robert Long Sr. and the Late Frances Martin Long on March 20, 1956. She worked for Bassett Walker until her retirement, attended Laurel Park High School and graduated in 1975, and she was also a member of Jerusalem Christian Church where she was on the usher board. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband David R. Stockton. Mrs. Stockton was survived by her two daughters, LaKeisha Y. Stockton and Courtney S. Stockton both of Richmond, VA, two grandchildren, Malia Stockton and Carter Stockton both of Richmond, VA, two sisters, Loretta Long of Ridgeway, VA, and Mary McAllister of Martinsville, VA, and three brothers, Robert Long Jr., Anthony Long, and Minister Earnest Long all of Martinsville, VA.
A viewing for Mrs. Stockton will be held Friday, August 7, 2020 from 1pm to 5pm at C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home. Her graveside service will be held at Stockton Family Cemetery in Martinsville, VA, on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11am.

Karen worked for me many years ago part time @ Dairy Queen. She was a great example of a GOOD person,christian, Mother and employee. Prayers to her daughters & other family members.
