Latish Monique Manns, affectionally known as Monique, aged 46, of Maxine Road, Martinsville, Virginia, peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, with her husband by her side at the SECU Hospice Care Center in Yadkinville, North Carolina.
Monique entered this world on August 26, 1979, in Hyattsville, MD. the beloved daughter of Roscoe N. Mills, III and the late Vivian Thomas Elliott. She spent her formative years in Maryland, where she excelled academically and socially, ultimately graduating from Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Maryland.
A woman of profound faith and devotion, Monique was a faithful member of the Reach Out Apostolic Tabernacle in Axton. Her love for the Lord, gentle spirit, and infectious joy was felt by her entire church family and everyone she met along her earthly journey. Monique legacy of kindness, resilience, and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Monique leaves a legacy of love, faith and resilience through her husband, Ervin Manns of the home; two daughters, Dejah Brown of Richmond, VA and Samya Brown of Martinsville, VA; one grandson, Saโmir Brown of Martinsville, VA; one sister, Michelle Brown and her husband, Paul of Martinsville, VA; one brother, Antoine Elliott and his wife, Kimberly of Silver Spring, MD; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. with the funeral service at 12 noon at Reach Out Apostolic Tabernacle, 225 Brenda Dr., Axton, VA with Bishop Lorenzo Hall, Eulogist. Interment will follow at the Thomas Family Cemetery, Stella, VA.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville. Other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, 1200 Maxine Rd., Martinsville daily from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Live streaming of the funeral service will be available at Hairston Funeral Home live via Facebook.
