Lillian D. Watkins Strange, 68, of Belle Vernon, PA formally of Axton, VA departed from this life on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital in Monongahela, PA. Lillian was born on March 6, 1956, to the late James W. Watkins and Beulah Martin Watkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, three sisters, Margie Watkins, Sarah Morrison, and Lillie Carter; and four brothers, Jessie Watkins, Bobby Watkins, and Lewis Watkins, John Henry Martin
Lillian attended Mt. Sinai Holiness Church in Axton, VA. She worked at American Furniture until her retirement.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include, one daughter, Amy (Vick) Strange of Axton, VA; one grandson, Javonte M. Martin of Axton, VA; one sister, Shirley W. Adams of Axton, VA; and three brothers, Melvin Watkins, Richard Watkins, and Larry Watkins (Lori) all of Axton, VA., and a special friend and caretaker, Brenda Allen of Pennsylvania.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 15, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Evangelical Holiness Church, 17340 Martinsville Hwy, Axton, VA 24054. Pastor Marvin Slade will be presiding. The burial will follow at Watkins Family Cemetery in Axton, VA.
A public viewing will be held Thursday, November 14 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette Street, Martinsville, VA. At all other times the family will be receiving friends at the home of her sister, Shirley W. Adams, 2793 Sandy River Road, Axton, VA.
