Obituary For Lillie D. Belcher
Lillie D. Belcher, 68, of 70 Robin Rd., Martinsville. Virginia departed from this life Monday, August 3, 2020, at her residence. She was born July 4, 1952, in Martinsville, VA to the late Geneva Howard and was also raised by her late Aunt and Uncle Robert and Mary Francis Preston. She was a member of Mayo Missionary Baptist Church and worked in the cabin room for Hooker Furniture for 37 years until she retired. In addition to her parents Mrs. Belcher was proceeded in death by her two sisters Carolyn Hairston and Jessie Davis and one brother Reginald Brim. Mrs. Belcher was survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Eldridge L. Belcher of the home; her son ,Samuel Belcher and his wife Jeannette of Martinsville, VA, two granddaughters, Tatiana Belcher and Asianna Belcher both of Greensboro, NC, one grandson Adrian Belcher of Martinsville, VA, five brothers, Lemark Howard and his wife Lila of Tucson, AZ, Wayne Howard of Winston Salem, NC, Wilbur Preston and his wife Pam of Ridgeway, VA, Ricky Preston of Winston Salem, NC, and Robert Preston Jr. and his wife Lisa of Youngsville, NC, and four sisters, Delois Moyer and her husband Winfred of Axton, VA, Patsy Hayes and her husband James of Ridgeway, VA, Betty Hairston of Ridgeway, VA, Mamie Warner and her husband Michael of Ridgeway, VA, and Deborah Scales and her husband Carl of Ridgeway, VA. A viewing for Mrs. Belcher will be held at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 12pm to 5pm. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 12:30 pm at Carver Memorial Gardens.

I am Debra Hairston-Shelton from Ridgeway, I've lived in Charleston, SC for the past 46 yrs. I am the sister of Jeffery Hairston of Ridgeway. I went to elementary school, Richard H. Clarke and Carver High with Lillie and Carolyn Howard, both were just beautiful spirits. May God's Grace and Mercy be with Lillie's husband, children, grandchildren and her siblings. I remember Lillie being a very kind, humble and sweet school mate. I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that Lillie is in God's arms.
Pudding was a beautiful lady inside and out. I have known her most of my life. Family you have my deepest sympathy.
