Obituary For Lloyd Bennett Dickerson

On Friday, September 26, 2025, Lloyd Dickerson 70, of Greensboro, NC transitioned peacefully from this earthly life at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC. He was born in Henry County, VA on June 24, 1955, to the late Lloyd Herman Dickerson and Macie Lee Rumley Dickerson.

In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Crutchfield, and two brothers, Carl Dean Dickerson and Anthony "Cleve" Dickerson.

Lloyd was a graduate of Laurel Park High School class of 1973. After graduating from high school, Lloyd enrolled at James Madison University where he received a master's degree in Business Administration. He was a licensed Real Estate Agent serving clients in the North Carolina area for 30 years. Lloyd was a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., a Mason and a non-denominational ordained minister.

Above all, Lloyd was devoted to his family and leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience through his fiancée, Lynda Epps of Greensboro, NC; one daughter, Ashley Larkin (Shabazz) of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Royal Larkin and Legend Larkin both of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Cheryl M. Dickerson of Collinsville, VA and Teresa L. Carter (Chris) of Danville, VA; three brothers, Stafford “Lenny” Dickerson of Grand Prairie, TX, Felix W. Dickerson of Fayetteville, NC and Wesley L. Dickerson (Mary) of Raleigh, NC; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. with the funeral service at 12 noon at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville, with elder Edward Martin, Jr. officiating and Bishop Robert Denzell Kellam, Eulogist. Interment will be held at the Dickerson Family Cemetery, Wyatt Farm Rd., Axton, VA, which will be announced at a later date.

A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, 11 Rutherglen LN., Greensboro, NC starting on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Live streaming of the funeral service will be available at Hairston Funeral Home live via Facebook.
