Obituary For Lue Frances Hunt

Lue Frances Hunt, 67, of 208 Stuart St., Martinsville, VA, departed this life on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at SOVAH Health Martinsville. She was born in Martinsville, VA April 5, 1953, the daughter of the late Douglas B. Hunt, Sr., and the late Sallie Deshazo Hunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Connell Hunt.

Lue attended Albert Harris School and National Business College. She was disabled, and a member of Divine Faith Holiness.

Lue leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Lisa Ortiz of Martinsville, VA and Melissa (Roderick) Fitzgerald of Axton, VA; four sisters, Dorothy Ross, Patricia Crummie and Gloria Hunt all of Martinsville, VA, and Theresa (Daryl) Ramey of Ridgeway, VA; four brothers, Douglas B. Hunt, Jr of Collinsville, VA, Ronnie E. Hunt of Roanoke, VA, Anthony Hunt and Alvin D. Hunt both of Martinsville, VA; devoted grandson, Calvin Beal of the home; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at12 p.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home with Apostle Dennis Belcher eulogist. A public viewing will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. The CDC guidelines will be in place requiring a face covering and social distancing. The family will be receiving friends at 214 Spring St., Martinsville, VA. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens, Martinsville, VA.
