Harry A. Gill, 69, of 701 3rd. St., Martinsville, Va., passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at VA Medical Center in Salem, VA. He was born April 4,1949 in Virginia to the late Sarah M. Gill and the late Fred D. Gill, Sr.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers: Frederick D. Gill Jr., William Vernon Gill, Clifford Gill, Donald O. Gill, and Elmer Gill.
Harry is survived by his loving wife, Pandora Gill of the home; three daughters, Melinda Ford (Brian) of Odenton, MD; April Jones (Reginald) of Lansdown, Va; and Drena Malloy of Reidsville, NC; two sons, Paul Gill (Nicole) of Ashburn, VA, and Marcus Berger of Martinsville, VA; two stepchildren, John Craighead (Tonya), and Diane Craighead, both of Martinsville, VA; elven grandchildren, three great- grandchildren; three brothers, Leon Gill Sr., and Leroy Gill both of Martinsville, VA; and Charles Gill of Richmond, VA; and two sisters, Althea Brown of Martinsville, VA; and Shirley Beasley of Richmond, VA.
He was a member of Mt. Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as Chairman of the Board, Church Overseer, and a member of the The Finance Committee.He was also member of the American Legion and served in the United States Army. Harry was the owner of Gill's Tires.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's High Street Baptist Church. Pastor Monique Jamison, Eulogist. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service and all other times at the home, 701 3rd. St., Martinsville, VA.
The burial will be in Gill Family Cemetery, 2nd. St., Martinsville, VA.
