Obituary For Rosa Belle Price
Rosa Belle Price , 84, of Independence Drive, Martinsville, VA., transitioned Sunday, February 24,2019 at her residence. She was born August 20,1934 in Henry County, the daughter of the late Barner Bell Hodge Hairston and the late William Henry Hairston. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Buford R. Price, Sr; and two sons, Thomas B. Price and Burford (Will) Price, Jr.
Rosa Belle leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Pastor Mark E. Price, Sr. (Rose) of Martinsville, VA; and Baxter A. (Joe) Price (Priscilla) of Halifax, Va; four daughters, Brenda Yellock, Tarama Lynch (Odell), and Verndale Wright (Danny) all of Martinsville, VA; Rose Price of Westland, MI; 19 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sara Craighead of Leatherwood, VA.
She was a member of Greater New Bethel Apostolic Church where she was a Nurse's Aide and was on Group#4. She worked for Moorefield's Cleaning as a cleaning specialist for 3 years and Patrick Henry Elementary School as a housekeeper for a number of years. Rosa was a Domestic Engineer until her health declined.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 12 Noon at Greater New Bethel Apostolic Church with Pastor Mark E. Price, Sr., Eulogist. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service and all other times at the home of her daughter , Tarama and Odell Lynch, 920 Independence Dr., Martinsville, VA.
Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens, Martinsville, VA.
