Obituary For Saddie Ann Cobbs

Saddie A. Cobbs, 78, of Hobson Road, Axton, VA departed this life on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at her residence. She was born on January 25, 1947, to the late Rufus Cobbs and Carrie Dixon Cobbs.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, Rudy Cobbs, Robert Cobbs, James Cobbs, Louis Cobbs, Lee Cobbs, and Howard Cobbs; and two sisters, Shirley Martin, and Elizabeth Hairston.

Saddie was a faithful member of Mt. Olivet Holiness Church in Martinsville, VA. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends. She was a fan of the Redskins.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include two sisters, Yolanda Reynolds, and Minnie Reynolds both of Axton, VA; one brother, Samuel Cobbs of Reidsville, NC; six nephews, Anthony (Sheratta) Reynolds of Atlanta, GA, Eric Reynolds of Axton, VA, Ike (Bianca) Reynolds of Durham, NC, Joe Reynolds, Jr., Jerry, and Vershawn Joyce of Axton, VA; four nieces, Parthenia Martin, Joyce Reynolds both of Axton, VA; Antwanette (Stevon) Penn and Tanilia Reynolds both of Martinsville, VA; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A family visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 10:30 A.M. with the funeral service following at 11 A.M. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Morrison will be the Eulogist. The burial will be held at Cobbs Family Cemetery, Jones Ridge Road, Axton, VA.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville between the hours of 1 P.M. until 5 P.M. Other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, 3367 Hobson Road, Axton, VA 24054. Live streaming of the funeral service will be available at Hairston Funeral Home live via Facebook.
