Sandra L. Hobson, age 78, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, peacefully passed away on June 14, 2026.
Born on April 29, 1948, in Martinsville, Virginia, Sandra was the beloved daughter of the late Rosetta King and James Howard Hobson. As the oldest of three siblings, she naturally stepped into a role of leadership, care, and guidance early in life—traits that would define her entire personal and professional journey.
Sandra grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she graduated from Snyder High School. Possessing a lifelong passion for learning and helping others, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from the State Teachers College in Jersey City.
Sandra dedicated over 15 years of her life to the noble profession of teaching. As an educator, she was far more than a instructor; she was a beacon of encouragement, inspiring countless children to reach their full potential and fostering a love for learning that will live on through generations of her former students.
While she left an indelible mark on the classroom, her greatest joy was her family and friends. Sandra was a profoundly devoted aunt, grand-aunt, and a loyal friend. She poured her love, wisdom, and humor into her family, creating cherished memories that will be held close forever. Her warmth, gentle guidance, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sandra was an avid traveler visiting the Philippines and Japan. She was known for her funny stories and her famous banana pudding.
Sandra’s legacy of love, education, and devotion lives on in the hearts of her siblings; Gail and Anthony; nieces; Tracy and Shani; grand-nieces, grand-nephews, one great-great grandnephew, and a host of extended family and dear friends.
