Last summer as I walked through the aisles of Lowes in Martinsville, I was startled by someone who, without warning, quickly jumped from an adjacent aisle, and with a direct sinister stare, stood motionless in front of me. I was stunned! After a few seconds, this person ripped the mask from the lower part of her face and... there she stood with a glowing smile. "Venena!, "I yelled, and the both of us laughed hysterically. The images of her charming smile, mischievous laugh, and comical antics are the beautiful memories I will hold dear. Eboni, Khalil, and Faith really I have no words. Thank God I got to know her and love her. Venena was so funny so much so we and other Hamptonians almost got out out out of 2 restaurants on two separate occasions laughing with your mom and sister, respectively. Venena and I have known each other since our freshman year at Hampton. She and I were in the same major so we spent a lot of hours working on projects and enjoying the times we spent in class. She was creative and talented. Venena was also my line sister who had a great sense of humor and always kept us laughing. We love Venena and we will miss her.
