Herbert Louis Breaux, Jr., age 84, of Zachary, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on February 21, 1941, in Chamberlin, Louisiana, to the late Julia Carter and Herbert Louis Breaux, Sr. He married Louvenia Richardson on August 12, 1961, and they began their amazing journey together. This union was blessed with five children in a marriage spanning nearly 59 years, until Louvenia’s passing on May 16, 2020.

Herbert lived a full and meaningful life built on faith, family, and hard work. He proudly served his country in the United States Army before becoming a successful business entrepreneur owning Breaux’s Auto Parts. This business thrived to great heights in Scotlandville during the 1970’s to mid-90’s. His entrepreneurial spirit and determination inspired those around him, and he never stopped thinking of new ideas or ways to build for the next generation.

Herbert was known for his dedication to his family—always ensuring their well-being and success. He found joy in watching Westerns, barbecuing, fixing things around the house, working in the yard, and building or repairing cars. He loved passing down wisdom to his children and grandchildren, sharing stories that made everyone laugh and think. A loving father, devoted grandfather, hardworking provider, and exaggerated storyteller—he left a legacy that will continue to live on through his family.

He is survived by his children: Stephanie Breaux, LaVontra Breaux, Timothy Breaux (Trenita), and Garrick Breaux (Alicia); his grandchildren: Lamar Breaux (Tandra), Jeffery Lendo Jr. (Patrice), Prince Gray III (Destiny), Herbert Louis Breaux IV (Breanna), Garrick Breaux, and Gabriel Roger Breaux; his siblings: Yvonne Breaux and Barbara Breaux; and his great-grandchildren: Zachary Breaux, Zoria Breaux, Trevor Breaux, Jordan Breaux, Kendall Breaux, Laila Breaux, Jeffery Lendo III, Gracie Lendo, Prince Gray IV, King Gray and Herbert Louis Breaux V.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julia Carter and Herbert Louis Breaux Sr.; siblings Herman Breaux and Dorothy Breaux; and son, Herbert Louis Breaux III.

A public viewing will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hall Davis & Son Funeral Service, located at 9348 Scenic Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70807, where family and friends are invited to pay their respects.
