So overwhelmed with emotions I'd forgotten to do the simplest of things in my previous post and that was to add our names and deepest heart felt condolences from Valerie and Greg Nichols.
To Autrey(Tracy) Michael(STEPHANIE) Rudyard(Donna) Robert(Joy) I express my sincere grief and sorrow and sadness to all of our families during this time on MARCEIA'S PASSING, SO VERY SORRY THAT I WON'T BE THERE TO SHARE IN YOUR SADNESS WE ALL CAN STAY STRONG 💪AND THE LORD WILL HELP ALL OF US THROUGH THESE STORMY DAYS, SO YOU ALL HOLD ON TO EACH OTHER AS EACH DAY PASSES and all of the tomorrow's will come with each day. I AM ALWAYS HERE FOR ALL OF YOU, CALL ME AT ANY TIME MUCH LOVE TO THE WHOLE FAMILY, FROM AUNT Brenda, Alonzo,(Shanea)
I'll always remember that beautiful bright smile that greeted us every time we came to visit. My Godsister was a treasure and an angel to us all.
The Nichols and Johnson families arrived from Arkansas together, so we're all like family. I remember when Autrey and I started first grade in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Marceia was born. My sister and I loved to hold her. She was such a happy baby. If you laughed, she would laugh. I remember Mrs. Johnson helping her to crawl so we would help her to crawl. She would continue wanting to get into our laps as she grew. She got so much joy from music! I remember her standing on a chair close to the intercom where the music was playing in the house. She was a part of my life and taught me how to relate to children with special needs, which is a part of my life's work. What I have learned on a spiritual level is that God has covered his children who are the Marceia's of this world. They are guaranteed a home with him. I do believe, as I have seen them, that Hebrews 13:3 is personified in my sister as more often than others realize, God sends angels to earth in the bodies of disabled children to teach us, to test us, to show us love, how to love, and how to be among each other. I do not believe He brings people home to be angels, but He has brought an angel home as her job is done. I know it didn't always seem so because my girl could have her own mind about what she wanted to do and when. I used to admire Dr. Johnson taking her everywhere. They were so close. Autrey, Mike, Rud, Robert, I pray you all not only feel blessed to have had her as a sister but that you are comforted in God's promises as your sister reunites with your parents, and that the separation from them is temporary. Love you guys! Kathy (Nichols) Michael
