Official Notice of Transition: The Bishop’s Legacy - A Passion for Life and Learning
Beloved, Bishop Nathaniel McGriff, 71 - Sunrise: Friday, April 30, 1954, Sunset: Sunday, November 9, 2025
“Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” — James 2:18 (KJV)
With profound reverence and humble submission to the will of God, we announce the heavenly transition of Bishop Nathaniel McGriff, a man whose life reflected the very heartbeat of ministry, a passion for Christ and a love for people.
On a sacred Sunday, the day the saints rejoice in the power of resurrection, our beloved Bishop quietly answered his Master’s call, trading time for eternity, and entered into the joy of the Lord.
Bishop McGriff’s earthly journey was one marked by unwavering faith, excellence in service, and a steadfast commitment to the Gospel. He selflessly gave his life in the sacred capacities of Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Uncle, Bishop, Pastor, Evangelist, Teacher, Spiritual Father, and Friend. His voice thundered with truth, his hands worked in love, and his heart beat in rhythm with Heaven’s purpose.
Though his earthly pulpit now stands silent, his legacy continues to echo in the lives he touched, the souls he led to Christ, and the Kingdom work he so faithfully advanced. Truly, a general in God’s army has laid down his sword and received his crown.
Celebration of Life for Bishop Nathaniel McGriff: The Homegoing Celebration for Bishop Nathaniel McGriff will convene on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the True Point Church, Lakeland, Georgia.
