As a parent, regardless of the circumstances, you never imagine or even want to think that you’ll have to write an obituary for your child. When that day comes and you need to, you find yourself at a loss for words. After all, you only hope and pray that the roles would be reversed. Your children are supposed to be the ones doing this for you, not the other way around.

Sadly, for this Gholston family, God had other plans. Their young energetic loved one was taken from them way too soon. Even though he wasn’t able to celebrate his 16th birthday, or experience all that life could offer him as an adult, he will always and forever be in the hearts of family, friends, classmates and community.

Laron Antwan Gholston "Eugene”, 15 years, 11 months of Valdosta Georgia, Lwas born in Lowndes County on June 29, 2006, to Lorenzo Gholston Sr. and Parchell Gholston. He was called home on June 2, 2022, from his earthly body.

He is preceded in death by his Grandfather: Lorenzo Williams; Great-grandmother: Christine Carter Sanders; Sisters: Jeromia and Maliyah Gholston; Brother: Elijah Gholston and Uncle: Derrick Thomas

He leaves to cherish his memories to his Father: Lorenzo Gholston Sr; Mother: Parchell Gholston; Brothers: Zykobia’ Phillips, Lorenzo Gholston Jr. and Jerome Gholston; Sister: Keyonia Gholston; Grandmothers: Carolyn Gholston and Annie Sanders; Aunts; Tonya Gholston, Katrina Gholston, Lakesha Gholston, Latkasha Thomas and Tarnesha Baker; Uncles: Anthony Sanders(Rochelle), Curtis Sanders and Veon Sanders and Special Cousins: Tehlani Sanders and I’yannah McGhee; as well as a host of cousins, family and friends.

The Gholston family has selected Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 3:00 PM to honor and remember "Laron's" life, and will gather at the Ralph Harrington Memorial Chapel - 713 Lake Park Road. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery
