It is with deep reverence and solemn pride, we announce the Earthly Transition of Master Sergeant (Retired) Henry Lee Brown, age 82, of Lakeland, Georgia. Born on Sunday, September 27, 1942, he was called from active duty on Earth to take his place in the Lord’s eternal service on Monday, August 11, 2025.
⚜️Master Sgt. Henry Brown was a man whose life was a testament to duty, honor, and service—to his country, his community, his family, and his God.
He faithfully served in the United States Air Force, rising through the ranks to Retired Master Sergeant, a title he wore with honor and dignity. His military career was marked by discipline, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to his mission. His dedication to service extended far beyond his uniform, into every chapter of his remarkable life.
Following his distinguished military career, Mr. Brown’s path reflected both hard work and visionary entrepreneurship. He worked along the historic U.S. Route 1, carrying one of the Presidents of the United States of America for the greater portion of his career, an honor reserved for only the most trusted and capable. He later invested his talents and determination into business, becoming a restaurant owner and ice cream shop proprietor, delighting communities with both his service and his hospitality.
His passion for farming connected him to the land, and his gift for culinary excellence led him to cater for prestigious institutions including Howard University, Delaware State University, and the Prince George’s Learning and Sports Complex. Every venture bore his signature mark—professionalism, pride, and heart.
Yet beyond his many accomplishments, Master Sgt. Brown was above all a man of faith, a devoted friend, and a loyal, steadfast supporter of those he served alongside. His commitment to Harrington Funeral Home, Inc. was marked by excellence, trust, and dedication. He was not only an employee, but a cherished part of the Harrington family.
In the spirit of a soldier completing his mission, Master Sgt. Henry Brown has now been honorably discharged from the duties of this world and has reported for eternal assignment in the presence of his Commander-in-Chief—The Lord Jesus Christ.
The legacy he leaves is one of service, excellence, faithfulness, and love. His boots may no longer march on earth, but his impact will march on in the hearts of all who knew him.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Mr. Brown and his ex-wife were a significant part of our family's life in Prince George's County, Maryland. We started out as work colleagues and became close friends. Mr. Brown had drive for business and for enjoying life. We had memorable family times together. He will hold a special place in our hearts forever. It broke my heart to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace. John and Darlene Watkins

Heavenly Father, you have not made us for darkness and death, but for life with you for ever. Without you we have nothing to hope for; with you we have nothing to fear. Speak to us now your words of eternal life. Lift us from anxiety and guilt to the light and peace of your presence, and set the glory of your love before us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen (HOOAH)
