Mother Dorothy Jean Weldon was born to the late Mr. Joe and Mrs. Aretha "Bonnie" Miller on October 12, 1942. After 77 blessed years, God decided to call her home to take her eternal rest.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving spouse of 58 years, Dec. Tom E. Weldon; children, Lady Valentina (Pastor Reginald) Benjamin, Doralene Williams, and Thomas Christopher (Michelle) Weldon; grandchildren, Tania T. Benjamin, Reginald I. (Keelia) Benjamin, Jr., Reuben M. Benjamin, Kieandria S. Williams, Christopher M. Weldon, Joshua T. Weldon, Miranda L. Weldon, Moriah J. Weldon; great-grandchildren, Jaden M. Benjamin, and Benjamin I. McCrae; siblings, Hazel (Dennis) Rose, Helen (Richard) James, Doris Mathis, Wanda (Ben) Flemming-Griffin, Ernest Miller, Johnny L. (Betty) Miller, and Charles (Rudine) Miller; in laws, Dorothy (Walter) Green, Edward Weldon, , JoAnn (Edward) Houston, Janice Nelson, Pastor Jerome (Lady Mary) Weldon, Annie Pearl Lawton, Annie Geral (Willie) Charles, Bobbie Jean (Eugene) Weldon; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
Home Going Celebration, Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. from the sanctuary of New Bryant Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be held immediately after service at the Charles Knight Cemetery. Final rites were entrusted to Harrington Funeral Home Inc.
