Official Notice of Transition and Obituary for: Mother Mary L. Johnson - Wednesday, July 23, 1947 - Saturday, July 27, 2024, Valdosta, Georgia.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice Is so sweet the birds hush their singing, And the melody that He gave to me Within my heart is ringing. I’d stay in the garden with Him, Though the night around me be falling, But He bids me go; through the voice of woe His voice to me is calling.
Mother Mary L. Johnson, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, child of God, and pillar of the Valdosta community, passed away on Saturday morning, July 27, 2024, (4-days after her birthday) at the age of 77.
Mother Johnson was born on July 23, 1947, and she was a woman of many talents and passions. She was a skilled seamstress, a gifted baker, and a devoted Woman of God. I gave you, my love. you can only guess how much you gave me happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it’s time I traveled on alone. So, grieve for me a while, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted with trust. It’s only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. And then, when you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a smile and say, “Welcome Home.”
