Mother Sarah Sirmans Harden, 85 Naylor, Georgia was born on August 16, 1936 to the late Willie and Rosa Sirmans-Smith. She received her education from Lanier County School system. She was reunited in matrimony to Henry Allen Harden Sr. For 62 years. She was a faithful member of New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. She served as Mother, Deaconess, President of #1 choir, treasurer, usher. She was a homemaker, after many years she was employed at Parkwood Development center as a Direct Care Staff member. She was an awesome woman of God and a great example to all. After retirement she had many hobbies including cooking, baking, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Mother Sarah Sirmans Harden accepted the masters call, on Sunday, July 10, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her husband Deacon Henry Allen Harden Sr. Her Children Homer and Stevie Harden and daughter in-law Lisa Harden a grand daughter Sarah Lynn Harden. Her parents, Willie and Rosa Sirmans and Mr. Jo B. Smith. Her siblings- Walter Sirmans, Lula Belle Moore, Irene Thomas, Lucille Carter, Bozie Lee Sirmans, Denise Williams, Johnny B. Smith. Sister in law- Alma Benjamin-Very special nephew Garrett Bolden.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her children- Jerry Lynn Monroe (Aloysius) Henry Allen Harden Jr. (Beverly) Phyllis Felton (Frank) Rosa King (Min. Samuel King) Demetrious Harden Sr. Lady Vicki Neloms (Elder Quinton Neloms Jr.) Felecia McDuffy (Henry) Keshia Mcmillon (Mack) Santanas Locklear Sr. Daughter in law Elfleta Nam ( Cleveland) Special grandson Mackel Stafford- Loving grand children Tashara Harden, Stevie Harden, Anita King, Da’Netra Harden (Lorenzo), Santoria Gordon (Brent) Henry Harden III ( Kim) Demetrious Harden Jr. Brittany Kebby (Brent) Alecia Monroe, Quinton Neloms III (Danielle) Henry Lewis McDuffy, Alexus Riley (Jacoby) Henry Robert McDuffy, Horace Neloms, Henry Felix McDuffy, Special grand daughter Sarah (Hope) Neloms, Adorable great grand children- Deion Locklear, Saniya Locklear, Santanas Locklear Jr. Allen Lee, Brooklyn Harden, Heaven Harden, Lavontae Davis, Lo’real Davis, Lorenzo Davis III, Leilani Davis, Savanna Gordon, Brent Kebby Jr., Zaidyn Fullmore, Leah Payne, A’niyla Neloms, Brai’Lynn Neloms, Aliyah Jae Riley, Mason Harden, Henry Harden IV, Mackel Stafford Jr. Special niece Ethel Wakefield (Marshall). Sister in laws- Betty Sirmans, Helen Smith, Mattie Smith- Brother in law Ezekiel Williams. Special friends Dorothy Holmes (Jessie) and Nadine Wright (JH). Host of nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church Family and friends.
Mother Harden's Life will be celebrated on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of The New Hopewell Baptist Church, Johnson Road - Naylor GA.
Committal and Final Rites will be offered following the services in the Mud Creek Cemetery.
Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the Harden family, by Harrington Funeral Home, Inc.
