It is with profound reverence and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the earthly transition and celestial homecoming of our beloved Mother Thelma Whitehead, who peacefully exchanged time for eternity on Friday evening, January 9, 2026. A cherished resident of Valdosta, GA, Mother Whitehead gracefully completed her earthly journey at the remarkable age of 99, having entered this realm on Saturday, July 17, 1926.
Her life was a testament to enduring grace, unwavering faith, and boundless love. Mother Thelma Whitehead leaves a legacy of beautiful memories that will be deeply cherished by all fortunate enough to have known her.
Though the shadow of death has momentarily passed, we stand firm in the eternal promise that death does not have the final word. For the Word declares, "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" (1 Corinthians 15:55). Mother Thelma Whitehead has not been lost to us, but has been joyfully received into the everlasting arms of our Lord, where perfect peace reigns, and there are no more tears, nor sorrow, nor pain.
While our hearts gently grieve her physical departure, our spirits rejoice in the blessed assurance that she now rests in the glorious presence of the Almighty. Her love, a beacon of light, endures beyond the veil of mortality, and her spirit lives on, radiant and free, having exchanged her earthly tent for a magnificent heavenly dwelling.

To the Whitrhead family I would like to extend my sincere condolences during the passing of Moyhet Whitrhead. May the Lord comfort the family during this difficult time.
Mrs. Whitehead was and still is an amazing person. Her body died, she did not. We are Spirit, we have a Soul, and we live here on 🌎 inside our body until our body die. Then we exit our body still alive with our cognitive abilities intact. Mrs. Whitehead touched a lot of lives while here on 🌎. I am so thankful she has been a part of my life since 1978 when she trained me at Heritage House Nursing home as a CNA. She showed me how to best care for my patients. Mrs.Carrie Thompson and Mrs. Whitehead took this 18y/o under their wings and is directly responsible for the nurse I am today. I will miss coming to your house and sitting on the porch. I will miss your smile and your laughter. I will miss our talks. RIP Love ❤️ Brenda Vickers Johnson
