OFFICIAL NOTICE OF EARTHLY TRANSITION
It is with reverence and heartfelt sympathy, that our staff announce the earthly transition of Mr. Calvin Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia, formerly of Valdosta, Georgia, who peacefully passed from this life on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the age of 71.
Born on October 7, 1954, though his earthly journey has come to its close, the memories he created, the relationships he cherished, and the legacy of love he leaves behind will continue to live in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Payton AME Church.
Following the service, the final committal and burial will be held at: Payton Church Cemetery

Calvin has been a part of our family for more than 45 years. He is like a brother to me and an uncle to my nieces and nephews.. He leaves so many precious memories for us..Hard to accept that he is gone. May he rest in eternal peace 💜 I will try and make Mrs Johnson's famous fruitcake..Love forever
