It is with heavy yet hopeful hearts that we announce the earthly transition of Mr. Elwood L. Dennis Sr., affectionately known by family and close friends as “Mr. Woody.” A native of Valdosta, Georgia, Mr. Dennis departed this life on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the age of 69.
Born on June 21, 1956, Elwood lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep faith, and simple joys. He was a man of principle and peace whose favorite sayings, “Jehovah is Lord” and “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
A lover of long walks and meaningful conversations, He found joy in life’s still moments and in sharing wisdom with those around him. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, his warm presence, and the light he carried with grace.
Final arrangements are being lovingly handled by Harrington Funeral Home Inc. in Valdosta, Georgia. Further service details will be shared at a later time.

Mr. Elwood L. Dennis Sr. will be laid to rest, in the Pallbearers Cemetery.
We will honor a man whose footsteps led with strength, whose hands served with love, and whose life was a testimony of faith, family, and resilience. Join us as we celebrate a journey well-traveled and a soul now at peace with the Lord.
