Mr. James Moye Jr., age 84, who peacefully transitioned from this life on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Born on Saturday, October 12, 1940, Mr. Moye was a devout, hard-working man — a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather and great-grand father. His was a life marked by unwavering faith, humility, and purpose. He served his family, his community, and his God with dignity and strength until the Lord called him home.
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.
they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." — Isaiah 40:31
The legacy of Mr. Moye Jr. is a testimony of faith, family, and fulfillment of calling. As we prepare to celebrate his life, we ask for your continued prayers, love, and support for the Moye Family during this sacred time.
A Servant’s Journey Complete: We honor the legacy of Mr. James Moye, Jr., whose life of faith and service will long be remembered. His Homegoing Celebration will be held Sunday at 1:30 PM at Union Cathedral, with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Grandaddy I have been struggle to write RIP next to your name. But as you would say Baby I done lived my life you got to go on. I am trying I have good days and i have days when i breakdown, then i hear your voice tell me dont cry baby. Thank you for the love you given me, the encouraging words when i need it the most, my number one Grandfather you will forever be. Love you always and forever more.
