OFFICIAL NOTICE OF EARTHLY TRANSITION: MR. JASPER “JABO” ALEXANDER “A Lakeland Legend”
It is with profound respect, sincere admiration, and a deep sense of loss, we announce the earthly transition of Mr. Jasper “Jabo” Alexander, a distinguished son of Lakeland, Georgia, whose life and presence helped shape the community he so proudly called home.
Born April 2, 1954, Mr. Alexander departed this earthly life on Monday, August 10, 2026.
Known affectionately as “Jabo,” he was, in every sense of the word, a Lakeland Legend, a man whose name carried familiarity, respect, and significance throughout the community. His life was not merely measured by the years he lived, but by the people he encountered, the relationships he cultivated, and the memories he leaves embedded within the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Some individuals pass through a community; others become a part of its story. Mr. Jasper “Jabo” Alexander was one of the latter. His presence, personality, and unmistakable identity will forever remain woven into the fabric of Lakeland and the memories of those who knew and loved him.
As the community pauses to honor his life, may his family find comfort in knowing that the legacy of a life well-lived does not conclude at its earthly transition. What he gave, whom he touched, and the memories he created will continue to speak long after his departure.
May the life of Mr. Jasper “Jabo” Alexander be remembered with honor, celebrated with gratitude, and held forever in the highest regard.

When I got the news I was and still am in so much pain/grief but understanding you were greeted and welcomed by our heavenly father and surrounded by those who have transitioned before you brings me peace. Our family will not be the same without you Jabo. I know we'll find comfort in each other and we'll get through this together.
