OFFICIAL NOTICE OF EARTHLY TRANSITION: October 30, 1954 ~ August 5, 2026.
It is with profound sorrow, yet with faith in God’s eternal promises, that we announce the passing of Mr. Jeffery S. Gunter of Decatur, Georgia, formerly of Valdosta, Georgia, who entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the age of 71.
Born on October 30, 1954, Mr. Gunter’s life reflected perseverance, dignity, and a spirit that touched many along life’s journey. While his departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who loved him, his influence, compassion, and treasured memories will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration.
During this time of heartfelt loss, we ask that you keep the Gunter family lifted in prayer as they honor and celebrate the remarkable life and enduring legacy of their beloved.
A Celebration of Life, Love & Legacy
With sincere hearts and profound respect, the family of Mr. Jeffery S. Gunter announces the hour appointed to celebrate his life and honor the memory of a beloved husband, father, family member, friend, and cherished member of the community.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church – Howell Road, Valdosta, Georgia.
On this sacred day, family and friends will gather not simply to mourn a departure, but to give thanks for a life that was lived, relationships that were formed, memories that were created, and a legacy that will continue through those who loved him.
Following the service, Mr. Gunter will be escorted to his final resting place at Sunset Hill Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with dignity and honor.
May those who mourn find comfort in treasured memories, strength in one another, and peace in knowing that a life lovingly remembered is never truly forgotten.
