Obituary For Mr. Jessie Lee Powell

OFFICIAL NOTICE OF EARTHLY TRANSITION: "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." – Psalm 116:15

With profound sadness, yet unwavering confidence in the promises of Almighty God, we announce the earthly transition of Mr. Jessie Lee Powell, who peacefully exchanged the burdens of this life for the everlasting joys of eternity on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Mr. Powell was born on December 29, 1937, during a period when the world was emerging from the hardships of the Great Depression, a generation marked by resilience, sacrifice, faith, and determination. Throughout his life's journey, he witnessed remarkable changes in history while leaving a legacy of his own through the lives he touched.

God graciously blessed Mr. Powell with 88 years, 7 months, and 1 day of earthly life—approximately: 88 years, 32,266 days, 774,384 hours, and 46,463,040 minutes. Every moment of his life was a gift from God, and every season reflected His sustaining grace.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing that Mr. Powell has traded every sorrow for eternal peace, every burden for everlasting rest, and every earthly trial for the glorious presence of our Lord and Savior. While his physical presence will be deeply missed, his memory, his influence, and the love he shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The Powell family humbly asks for your continued prayers during this time of bereavement. May the God of all comfort surround them with His unfailing love, strengthen them with His peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind them that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
