In profound sorrow, the Bellamy family has given instructions to the caring professionals at Harrington Funeral Home Inc., to promulgate to all on the earthly transition of their beloved:
Pastor Johnny "Ham" Bellamy was born March 22, 1956, in Valdosta, GA, to the late Helen Bellamy (William) and the late George Smith. Mr. Bellamy transitioned to eternal rest on Sunday, June 19, 2022. He was educated in the Valdosta City School System and proudly played Football for the Valdosta Wildcats. He was also a great performer and singer singing in local talent shows. Later in life, he heard the call of God to the ministry singing and preaching God's word helping and bringing people to Christ. Although he had a big heart for feeding and ministering to our young adolescents, he would also give you the shirt off his back.
In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by one Brother: Willie Alfred Anderson; Grandparents: Ulysses Anderson, and Willie Mae Anderson; Aunts: Eloise Frazier, Cora Lee Prime, Minnie Martin, Mary Alice Robinson, and Wesley Mae McGill; Uncles: Arthur Freeman, and Peter Freeman.
He leaves to mourn his passing his Children: Johnny Lewis of St. Louis, MI., Antonio Lewis of Oklahoma City, OK., Arlonya Hammler of Dallas, TX., Johnny Javon Bellamy, of Sarasota, Pearline Smith, Pearltreal Smith, Patrick Smith, Kelroy Adderly all of Sarasota, Fl., Michel Devin Wright of Valdosta, GA.; 17 Grandchildren, five Brothers: John Lee Bellamy (Penny), Anthony Bellamy, Larry Smith, Harry Smith, Eddie Smith; three sisters: Phyliss Nesmith, Curtisene B Marshall (Lavel), and Helen Bellamy Williams (Lawrence); three Uncles: Curtis Anderson (Gwen), Ulysses Anderson (Phyliss), and John Martin; two Special Friends: Pastor Tobbie Berrian, and Pastor Roosevelt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his appearing â—„ 2 Timothy 4:8 â–º
Life Celebration Services honoring his life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 2:00 PM from the Ralph Harrington Memorial Chapel - 713 Lake Park Road.
