With heartfelt reverence, we announce the earthly transition of Mr. Lamar Hitson, a member of the Statenville community. Mr. Hitson departed this life on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the age of 80.
Funeral Service Announcement: It is with heartfelt sympathy that we announce the services of the late Lamar Hitson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at: Crossing Jordan Baptist Church 1401 Cypress Street Valdosta, Georgia
Interment will follow at: Sunset Hill Cemetery - Valdosta, Georgia. Please keep the Hitson family in your prayers during this time of bereavement.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Lamar; we were classmates in elementary school. We have known of each other for almost a lifetime. I consider myself honored to have had him as a lifelong friend. I cannot think of a better friend than Lamar; he will be sorely missed by all. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.
