Obituary For Mr. Ralph Ponder (70)

It is the sad duty of Harrington Funeral Home Inc. to pause and with great respect to promulgate to all on the passing of the late:

Mr. Ralph Ponder (70) of Valdosta Georgia, entered the earth realm on Wednesday, January 11, 1950 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Adverse & Katie Ponder. He departed from this walk of life on Sunday, March 15, 2020.

Mr. Ponder attended school in Valdosta, GA, obtaining a High School Diploma from West Side High School. During the course of his career, he became an Entrepreneur in the Construction Trades Industry. After retiring from the Construction Trades Industry, he became a Golf Caddy Mr. Ponder was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Valdosta (Barretts), Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Royce Ponder, and his sister, Joyce Ponder Dantzler. To cherish the memories of him, he leaves behind four (4) sisters and two (2) brothers-in-law: Rev. & Mrs. Arthur & Mary Jones, Rev. & Mrs. Roosevelt & Ella Mae Graham, Ms. Annie Jean Ponder-Preaster and Ms. Lee Ponder-Patterson; three brothers: Mack Arthur Ponder, Adverse Ponder, Jr. and Alvin Ponder; several nieces and nephews and dozens of cousins and close friends.

Ralph’s life will be remembered and celebrated with an memorial service, which will be lived streamed via Facebook from the Harrington Chapel on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Reverend Bernard L. Robinson Sr., will officiate.

Interment & (Burial of Ashes) will be held at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery - 6419 New Bethel Road, Valdosta, GA.
