I’ve never been to Paris In the spring or the fall I’ve never been to India To the Taj Mahal, oh no, no. I’ve never been to Switzerland, no, no to see the winter games play.

But, ooh, I’ve never been to New Orleans on Carnival or Mardi Gras day. Never been to London On a foggy day. I’ve never been To hear a Ghandala play.

But If I can only make it to heaven, That will be good enough for me. Because heaven is the place, Where I want to be.

Mr. Roosevelt “Bud” McCormick (60) of Valdosta Georgia, was born on Sunday, December 25, 1960. He was the son of the late Pastor Laverne Oliver & Willie Gamble, the brother of the late Loretta T. McCormick, the late Darlene McCormick Robinson, Laverne Gamble-Neloms, and Tonyour Gamble-Alexander.

He was a gentle soul full of much talent, with a touch of comedy. He would have you laughing for hours without even trying to be funny. He received his early education from the City Schools and later received his GED, certificate of Culinary Arts, and a certificate of CDL truck driving training. In addition to, being a very skillful lead guitarist/singer, he was a freelance artist.

Later in life, he dedicated his life to Christ and joined the Greater Pleasant Temple Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Bernard L Robinson Sr.

“Bud” was in the storm far too long, for in this storm the tempest for Bud were raging. The billows were tossing high, the sky was o'er shadowed with blackness. It seem that No shelter or help was nigh.

Oh But God decided on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 4:40 AM surrounded by his two remaining sisters, his brother in-love, nieces and nephews, to speak peace to his storm.

Roosevelt, affectionately called “Bud” by those who loved and cherished him will celebrate his life on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 3:30 PM from the Ralph K. Harrington Memorial Chapel - 713 Lake Park Road. Rev. Bernard Robinson, pastor of Greater Pleasant Temple Missionary Baptist Church - officiating.

Burial will follow at the Family Plot at Howell Cemetery, Howell, Georgia.
