I also worked with Della at GADOE in Atlanta. We'd often run into each other in the parking garage and take the elevator to our respective floors. In that brief time, we'd pack in many family stories, always parting on a high note. Della was always pleasant company. Fly away, dear Della. Fly away!
Since childhood, Della and I were friends. We attended the same Church and were proud members of the Valdosta High School Class of 1979. She was smart, fun to be with and always willing to assist a person in need. She truly believed in family and friendship. Condolences to the family π
