I was chosen today; I'm learning to fly. I know to each of you it seems as if I was just taken away, but please don't you cry. As I leave, I chose each of you today, to try and be strong. So please don't you cry and don't say that I'm gone. When you're feeling alone just remember our love, I'm up near the stars looking down from above. Remember our love, in a moment you'll see that I'm still here beside you when you're thinking of me.

It is with a heavy heart that the staff of Harrington Funeral Home Inc. embrace this loving Beauford - Roberts family, as they announce the passing of the family matriarch: Mrs. Irene Beaufort Roberts, 82 of Valdosta, Georgia was born Friday, January 24, 1941.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4

Sunday, October 1, 2023, God saw the road was getting rough, the hill was hard to climb; He gently closed those loving eyes and whispered, “Peace Be Thine.” The weary hours, the days of pain, the sleepless nights have passed; The ever-patient worn-out frame Has found sweet rest at last.

Homegoing Services will be celebrated by her loved ones and friends, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 2:00 PM from The Ralph Harrington Memorial Chapel - 713 Lake Park Road, Valdosta GA.

Burial will follow in the Southview Cemetery.
