"As I journey through the land, singing as I go, Pointing souls to Calvary—to the crimson flow, Many arrows pierce my soul from without, within; But my Lord leads me on, through Him I must win.
Oh, I want to see Him, look upon His face, There to sing forever of His saving grace; On the streets of glory let me lift my voice, Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice."

My deepest condolences to the Family of My Dearest Friend, Jennifer ! We met and became the very best of friends while attending Lewis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina. We shared some Wonderful Times, had plenty of laughs and cherished the commonality of having two girls close in age. As Educators we always shared similar views and also shared some of the same friends in Valdosta, where I began my first years of teaching! She was the salt of the earth, so kind, thoughtful and always helpful! My heart finds solace in the fact that Jennifer lived life to the fullest, traveled the world and made time to commune and reminisce with friends. I will miss her terribly. Love, Sue Patton
I was saddened to hear that your mother passed away. I remember the kindness shown to me by Jennifer during my tenure as a first year history teacher at Valdosta High School in 1976. She was always so generous in sharing her knowledge and insight at work or at home with me. Thinking of you all as you celebrate your mother's remarkable life and wishing you moments of peace and comfort. Marieh Johnson Fitzgerald.
May God's loving consolation be yours today and in the day ahead. You had a loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and relative who was kind and caring. She loved God and family. So many times, she shared memories of her parents and daughters. We would often meet at church for special events or go to dinner theaters. She enjoyed life and a good laugh. She will always be in her hearts so keep her close. Love, Wanda R. Lawrence Fayetteville, NC
Expressing my deepest sympathy. Remember the loving, good, and happy memories to see you through the difficult times ahead and keep them forever in your heart. We are here for you. In remembering Ms. Brown/Jennifer, depending on the environment we were in it saddens me that she is gone so soon. As a teacher at Valdosta High School in 1974 she provided us with a vast amount of knowledge in Black History in a non-traditional way that made the information stick with you like forever. As a close family friend she always had a smile for you and there was never a dull moment. Being an astute individual she even convinced me to be her babysitter one summer and I am quite sure that many of us remember driving her gray Vega. Wishing that peace will bring you comfort and courage will help you face the days ahead. We are all here for you. Shirley (Shirlan) Bricker-Wallo
I met Jennifer in elementary school and at Macedonia Baptist Church, which she and her family attended along with my family. We were classmates all through school as members of the class of 1966. I don't ever remember a time that she wasn't the same smiling and proud lady that she matured into. She was always fun loving and gregarious and never met a stranger. May the God of Heaven shower this fine family with His grace and mercy at this troublesome time to wash away the heartache that they must feel. Rest in peace my friend.
