“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” — Matthew 25:11 (KJV)
It is with deep reverence and heartfelt love, the family of Mrs. Jessie Lee Willis announces her peaceful transition from this earthly life on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the blessed age of 84.
Born on April 22, 1941, Mrs. Willis lived a life marked by faith, devotion, and unwavering love for her family and her God. She was a dedicated child of God and a longtime member of The Day Spring Missionary Baptist Church, Dasher Lane, where she served faithfully and joyfully.
She was the pillar of her family and a source of strength, wisdom, and grace. Her presence brought light, her words carried comfort, and her love shaped generations. Though she now rests from her earthly labor, her spirit continues to live on in the hearts and lives of those she lovingly nurtured and inspired.
A Letter From Heaven: When tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not here to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me, I wish so much you wouldn’t cry the way you did today, while thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say.
I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time that you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too. But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, That Jesus came and called my name, and took me by the hand.
So, when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right there in your heart.
