Mrs. Joyce Sebrina Ritchie – 57 of Miami Florida, formally of Valdosta Georgia, passed from this walk of life on Sunday, August 21, 2022.

“There remaineth a place of rest for the people of God. But he who has that rest, must cease his own labor.”-Hebrew 4:9

Mrs. Joyce Sebrina Ritchie Lewis was born March 20, 1965. She was a devoted Mother, born to late Vernell Hunter Lewis & Joe Lewis Jr. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and anything in between. During her time in Valdosta, she attended Valdosta High School work as a Care Giver. In 1998 Joyce along with Husband and children moved to Miami to further her career. Joyce’s career advanced shortly thereafter; she became a clinical preceptor at Everest; Program Coordinator at National School of Technology & Concorde University. Joyce’s amazing efforts put hundreds of students in the medical field.

Joyce was preceded in death by her Mother: Vernell Hunter Lewis; and Father: Joe Lewis Jr.

Joyce leaves to cherish her memories her to her Mother: Rose Marie Lewis; Husband: Herbert Ritchie Sr.; two devoted and loving Sons: Herbert Ritchie Jr., and Kanavis Ritchie Sr.; daughters-in-law: Michelle Ricardo, and Marvonique Sands; Grandchildren: Kanavis Ritchie Jr., Majesty Ricardo-Ritchie, Kanique Ritchie, Kavonne Ritchie, Kathleen Ritchie, Kabir Ritchie; Sisters: Cynthia Winston, Angela Coleman, Monique Williams, Debra Mack King, Annette Guice, Oweda Berry; Brothers: Joe Lewis III, Keith Lewis, and Kevin Lewis; Brothers-in-law: Minister Aaron Winston Jr., and Minister Charles Williams; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 11:00 AM from the Mt. Vienna AME Church - burial will follow in the Pallbearers Cemetery.
