Official Notice of Earthly Transition: It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt sympathy, we respectfully announce the passing: of Ms. Connie Mae Peterson, of Raleigh, North Carolina, formerly of Lakeland, Georgia.
Ms. Peterson was born into this earthly life on December 27, 1940, and transitioned from labor to reward on April 6, 2026, at the age of 85 years.
While our hearts are heavy in this season of loss, we are comforted in knowing that she now rests in the presence of the Almighty, free from all pain and care.
Celebration of Life Services:
The family of Ms. Connie Mae Peterson respectfully announces a Celebration of Life Service honoring her legacy, which will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The service will take place at New Bryant Baptist Church, Lakeland, Georgia.
Following the service, interment will be held in the Charles Knight Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest in peaceful repose.
Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance and thanksgiving for a life well lived.
A Tribute of Comfort: When peace like a river attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll, Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul.
Though she is no longer with us in the flesh, her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

By the grace of God aunt Connie has the peace to rest easy. Memories my father made sure I shared with her at such a young age also brings me peace and joy knowing that she had a good heart, mind body and soul. I remember and miss her cooking too. Lastly, I'm thankful for my father to have taken me to visit her on multiple occasions growing up in N.J. 🙏🏽We Know You're Resting Well With uncle Jake and the crew♥️, Niki....
