Overseer Alfonia Sanford Jr., a devoted husband, father, and servant of God, transitioned from this life to eternal rest on August 27, 2024. Born on September 10, 1948, he lived a life that exemplified his unwavering commitment to faith, family, and community.
For over 45 years, Overseer Sanford was a loving and dedicated husband, partner, and best friend to his wife. Together, they built a legacy of love, trust, and mutual respect. As a father, he was an exemplary role model, teaching his children the values of integrity, compassion, and righteousness.
A God-fearing man, Overseer Sanford was deeply rooted in his faith. He was a passionate lover of the Word of God and spent his life sharing its message with others.
As a warrior of the faith, he stood strong in his convictions, inspiring countless individuals to deepen their relationship with God. Despite his many accomplishments and leadership roles, Overseer Sanford remained humble and kind. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and generous heart touched the lives of everyone he met.
Overseer Alfonia Sanford Jr.'s legacy will continue to inspire and uplift generations to come. His love, wisdom, and devotion to God and humanity will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, faithful servant. Your work on earth is done, but your impact will live on eternally.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 3:00 PM from Crossing Jordan Baptist located at 1401 Cypress Street.
