"When peace like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say It is well, it is well, with my soul It is well with my soul It is well, it is well with my soul"
He left from on this side, to see The King on the other side. The body of Christ lost a student of the word, a preacher, pastors, mentors, a loving husband, an amazing father and a pillar of his family.
We stand in humbled submission to the will of God along with this precious Young and connected families to promulgate the transition of: Reverend Eddie L. Young Jr. - 64.
Rev. Young knew that if his earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, that he would have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this he groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with his house which is from heaven:
Reverend Eddie L. Young placed his hand in the hand of the God he preached about, sung about, and prayed to as he answered the master's call on Monday, August 15, 2022.
Psalm 37:23 The Steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and be delightful in his way.
And it was so, born on August 12, 1958, to Mr. Eddie Lee Young Sr. and Mrs. Eloise Simmons Young in Valdosta, Georgia.
Reverend Eddie would attend Primary School in Valdosta, Georgia. Educational opportunities would lead Eddie into many studies through short admissions to Truett McConnell College and Valdosta State College. Having much exposure to many trades, Reverend Eddie would become the owner of Eddie’s Handy Man Service. His businesses would become a tool for ministry, where he would hire day laborers just to help them in their needs. He would become a confidant, a friend and a counselor, where he would gain the respect of the community. Thus, his journey was about to change just as it was for the fisherman. Fishing for fish. God would call Reverend Eddie to use his handy man knowledge to encourage the troubled, to comfort the broken hearted, to relief the opposed, to pray for the sick, to teach love and forgiveness. A greater calling would follow his obedience into the Lord and his calling was sure. Reverend Eddie Lee Young Jr. would be ordained as a licensed minister of Georgia. His ministry would open doors of opportunity to travel throughout Georgia with his First Lady Patricia Young and his Granddaughter “Suga Suga” (Charity). He loved the Lord, his family and ministry. Reverend Young was a young preacher with old school church taught values, that he taught his children and lived by them. A man of few words, he would say what he meant and mean what he said. He was a man of patience, loyalty, a friend, a devoted husband, loving father and trusting friend. Reverend Young was also known for his loyalty as a Valdosta Wildcat Fan, enjoying family time and church flows.
"It is Well with Rev. Eddie L. Young's soul"
